How to play Mini Nonogram

  1. Read the clues above each column and beside each row.
  2. Each number represents one continuous run of filled cells.
  3. Leave at least one empty cell between separate runs on the same line.
  4. Use Fill mode for picture cells and Mark empty mode for ruled-out squares.
  5. Press Check answer when your filled pattern matches all clues.

Controls: Choose Fill or Mark empty, then click or tap squares. Check answer validates the pattern.

Mini Nonogram hides a small picture behind the clues along a five-by-five grid. Each clue gives the length of a consecutive group of filled cells. Two numbers on the same line describe separate groups in order, with at least one empty cell between them. Compare row clues with column clues to find squares that must be filled or left empty. The Fill and Mark empty modes let you record both kinds of deduction. Check compares the filled pattern with the answer, without requiring every empty square to be marked. This version has one fixed beginner puzzle that you can reset and solve again.

A few useful tips

  • A clue of 5 fills an entire five-cell line.
  • A clue of 3 in a five-cell line must include the center cell.
  • Revisit columns after completing a row; new information travels across the grid.
